In 2008: going to first Olympics… women’s
road race is August 10, her birthday…described
third place finish at Montreal World Cup as best
race of her life… Raced her final race in
June with her pro team Cheerwine which also includes
compatriot Anne Samplonius… …Took a
break from competitive cycling between 2001 and
2004 and taught at Gault Collegiate Institute…
Intends to retire from competitive cycling this
year and return to teaching geography and physical
education at GCI…Named to world championship
teams in 2006 and 2007…
Her father David Hobson was also a competitive
rider…
